 Turnkey Contractor Capability and Experience Most contracts performed by D&P involve the design of a Maintenance Facility and the supply of Maintenance Equipment and are executed on a turnkey basis and include the following activities: * Evaluation of requirements & maintenance philosophy and specification of equipment * Application of QA standards in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 (D&P are accredited to ISO 9001:2000 by BSI) * Review and/or specification of vehicle interface requirements * Review and/or specification of Civil & M&E interface requirements * Design, in conjunction with a chosen manufacturer or design of bespoke maintenance equipment * Preparation of all Design Drawings, Equipment Specifications and any other documentation * Subcontractor/Supplier/Manufacturer evaluation in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 * Purchasing/Procurement of the Maintenance Equipment * Subcontractor/Supplier/Manufacturer expediting, management and inspection * Preparation of testing, painting and packing procedures * Works Testing of major items of equipment * Safety and Reliability and Maintainability analysis * Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) specification and testing, if required * Project Management of the contract including preparation of monthly reports including detailed programmes * Project Planning utilising PRIMAVERA * Equipment consolidation, packing and identification including tropical export packing where required. * Overseas shipping, where required * Supervision of Installation utilising the services of the Suppliers Supervisors when required * Site Installation using the services of our Site Installation Company * Site Equipment Commissioning and Testing * Site Training * Support through Warranty Key Benefits of using D&P on a turnkey contract: Major Railway Turnkey Projects call for the combination of a number of packages of work (Vehicles, Signalling, Track, Communications, OHLE, Maintenance Equipment etc.) * D&P are experienced in working on major Railway Maintenance Turnkey Contracts both in the U.K. and abroad. * D&P have experience of working on Automated People Movers, Light Rail, Metro and Mainline Projects. * D&P have focused personnel with relevant Engineering and Project Management experience with tailor made procedures and practices specific to the Industry. * D&P can ensure that the Facilities and Equipment proposed are 'fit for purpose', correctly specified, will meet the functional requirements and take full consideration of through life costs. * Clients are thereby able to pass on the Risk associated with these packages of work to a company that fully understands that Risk and is able to manage it successfully.
