Late 2007/Early 2008 - Dubai Red Line - Factory Acceptance Tests

During November and December 2007 and January and February 2008 Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) were performed on major items of equipment for the Red Line Project in Dubai.  The following major equipment was tested.

  • Gantry Cranes
  • Shot Blast Booth
  • Paint Booth

April 2007 - D&P have signed an Agreement with Marubeni Corporation for the supply of Depot Equipment and Track Maintenance Equipment for the Marmaray Project in Istanbul.  Marubeni Corporation form part of the AMD Consortium (Alstom, Marubeni and Dogus) who have the Prime Contract for the upgrading of an existing commuter line that will run under the Bosphorous in a new tunnel currently being constructed.  There are five new and one refurbished depots required together with maintenance and rescue equipment.  The Contract value of this project to D&P amounts to Euros 25.4 million.

April 2007 - D&P have signed an Agreement with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries for the supply of Depot and Track Maintenance Equipment for the Al Qusais Depot on the Green Line Extension for the Dubai Metro.  The Depot is similar to the Rashadiya Depot currently being completed for the Red Line.

January 2007 - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries - Dubal Red Line - D&P are continuing with the design of the two depots for the Red Line in Dubai.  The main depot and work workshop will be located at Rashadiya and contains a complete overhaul facility.  The depot at Jebel Ali is currently located at the end of the Red Line and is a stabling and light maintenance depot.  D&P are responsible for the design of the facilities and the supply of the maintenance equipment.
February 2007 - Mitsubishi Heavy Industies - Depok Maintenance Facility near Jakarta in Indonesia.  Works testing for the equipment was completed in October 2006 and the equipment wasshipped to Jakarta in January.  Installation and Commissioning of the Bogie Wash and the Wheelset Wash was completed by the end of January and Installation of the Wheel Lathe commenced on February 12th.  Photographs of the installed Bogie Wash and Wheelset Wash are shown below.
