This contract is for the upgrade of facilities at the Manchester and Glasgow Traincare Centres to cater for the introduction of the new fleet of Voyager trains being built by Bombardier for Virgin Rail.  The upgraded facilities will include the following:

Manchester

• Shore supplies on four roads to service 8 car Voyager trainsets in two positions
• CET Equipment - 7 point Controlled Emission Plant
• Fuelling Equipment - 8 point fuelling installation
• Fume Extraction - to provide ventilation for Voyager trains on four roads  

Glasgow

• Shore supplies - two shore supplies on one road
• CET Equipment - modifications to the existing system
• Fuelling Equipment - 5 point fuelling installation
