In 1993 Acer Consultants requested D&P to develop a design for Four Levant Maintenance Depot for the Istanbul Metro. The scope of works included the following functions: A Depot Requirement Report including: - Definition of typical maintenance operations and representative work cycles
- Define typical work space arrangements for the maintenance tasks
- Confirmation that the maintenance staff facilities and amenities as specified in a Parsons Brinkerhoff report were required, and if so, were adequate
- Identification of stabling and train movement requirements, including access from the main line
- Identification of the space requirements for the depot facilities, including a block diagram showing the requirements
- Identification of any specific structural/foundation requirements, such as drop table pits
- Identification of space requirements for the Control centre
A Technical Specification including: - A list and technical specification for all maintenance equipment required
- Bill of Quantities
- Cost Estimates
